Terms & Conditions – Designer Thrift

1. General Information

Welcome to Designer Thrift. We are delighted to offer carefully curated, authentic vintage and pre-loved designer items. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, we kindly ask you not to use our website or place an order.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all offers, orders and agreements made via our webshop.

 

 

2. Use of the Website

• The content of this website is provided for general information and shopping purposes only and may be updated or changed without prior notice.
 • We strive to keep all information accurate and up to date. However, errors or inaccuracies may occasionally occur. Designer Thrift cannot be held liable for any unintended inaccuracies to the fullest extent permitted by Dutch law.
 • Use of this website and reliance on its content is at your own responsibility.
 • All texts, images and other content on this website are owned by or licensed to Designer Thrift and may not be used without prior written consent.
 • Unauthorized use of this website may result in legal action.

 

 

3. Authenticity Guarantee

At Designer Thrift, authenticity is paramount.
 All items offered in our webshop are 100% authentic. Each piece is carefully checked before being listed and shipped, so you can shop with confidence and enjoy your vintage designer item worry-free.

 

 

4. Prices & Payments

• All prices are listed in euros and include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise.
 • Prices are fixed and non-negotiable.
 • We accept the following payment methods: iDEAL, Bancontact, Credit Card and PayPal.
 • In some cases, international customers may be required to pay via bank transfer or a verified PayPal account.
 • Any bank or transaction fees charged by your bank or payment provider are your responsibility.
 • All items remain the property of Designer Thrift until full payment has been received.

 

 

5. Order Cancellation

You may cancel your order before it has been shipped.
To request a cancellation, please contact us as soon as possible via e-mail to hello@designerthrift.nl. Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation is no longer possible and the return procedure applies.

 

 

6. Shipping

Shipping fees
Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout and are charged on all orders.

Carriers
We ship primarily with PostNL, DPD and FedEx,  always secured and with track & trace.

Shipping time
We aim to dispatch orders within 1–3 business days after receipt of payment.

Delivery times
 • The Netherlands: 1–2 business days
 • Europe: 2–5 business days
 Delivery times may vary due to weekends, holidays or customs procedures.

Shipping area
Designer Thrift ships exclusively within the EU. Unfortunately, we do not offer shipping outside the EU at this time.

Customs & taxes
For shipments within the European Union, no additional customs duties apply. Any local taxes outside the EU (if applicable) are the responsibility of the buyer.

Lost or delayed shipments
 If a shipment is lost by the carrier, we will initiate an investigation. Designer Thrift is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once tracking confirms successful delivery to the address provided by the customer.

 

 

7. Returns & Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Dutch and EU consumer law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receipt, without stating a reason.

To ensure a smooth and correct return process, all returns must be registered in advance.

Before returning an item, please send an e-mail to hello@designerthrift.nl stating that you wish to return your order. After registration, you will receive a return form by e-mail.

This return form must be printed and included inside the return package. Returns that are sent without prior registration or without the completed return form may experience processing delays or may not be accepted.

Return shipment
The customer is fully responsible for arranging and paying for the return shipment. We strongly recommend returning items via insured and trackable shipping, as the customer remains responsible for the item until it has been safely received by Designer Thrift.

Designer Thrift cannot be held liable for lost or damaged return shipments. Shipping costs (and custom fees) will not be refunded. 

All other return conditions as stated above remain fully applicable.

Conditions for returns

• The item must be returned within 14 days after receipt

• The item must be in the exact same condition as received (unworn, unwashed, with tags, undamaged, odour-free)

• Return shipping costs and risks are fully borne by the customer

• Items purchased through bids or special promotions are non-returnable

• Original shipping costs, customs fees and duties are non-refundable

• The return form must be fully completed and included inside the return package. Returns without a completed return form cannot be processed.

Vintage condition disclaimer
Please carefully review photos, descriptions and measurements before purchasing. Vintage and pre-loved items may show signs of wear consistent with age, even when listed in excellent condition.

 

 

8. Refunds

Once your return has been received and approved, the refund will be processed within 14 days using the original payment method.

 

 

9. Warranty

Designer Thrift does not offer warranty on pre-loved or vintage items.
All items are sold as described and photographed. Once an item has been worn, returns or refunds are no longer possible unless required by law.

 

 

10. Liability

Designer Thrift shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of profit or business interruption, unless mandatory Dutch law provides otherwise.

Our liability shall in all cases be limited to the purchase amount of the item concerned.

 

 

11. Obvious Errors

In the unlikely event that an item is mistakenly listed at a price of €0.00 or another clearly incorrect price, Designer Thrift reserves the right to cancel the order. Any paid shipping costs will not be refunded, in accordance with European regulations.

 

 

12. Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal data is handled with care and processed in accordance with applicable Dutch and EU privacy laws (GDPR). Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.

 

 

13. Governing Law & Disputes

All agreements and disputes arising from the use of this website or purchases made through it are governed exclusively by Dutch law.
